Vijaya Kumar Shah highest individual income tax payer

KATHMANDU, Nov 23: Jawalakhel Group of Industries Chairman Vijay Kumar Shah has been honored as the highest tax paying.

On the occasion of Tax Day, the Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has honored the individual for paying the highest amount of tax.

The Jawalakhel Group under his leadership has been occupying a large share in Nepal's liquor business. Shah started the business in 1969.

Jawalakhel Distillery, Himalayan Distillery, Raj Brewery, Asian Distillery and Vijay Distillery and other companies are operating under the group. Famous brands like Ruslan Vodka,  Budweiser etc.
