Octopus and Bung waterfalls becoming choice of tourists

LAMJUNG, Nov 10: On the Besisahar-Chame road, there is a raindrop falling down. Water falling from a height of more than 100 meters falls on the road.

The rainbow seen with the sunlight on the water falling on the roof adds even more beauty. Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-4 in Chamche is also the Octopus Waterfall which falls like the legs of an octopus.

This waterfall, which is on the world-famous circular Annapurna trail, which is deserted due to the rainy season, is now crowded with tourists. Arjun Gurung, chairman of the rural municipality, said that 100 to 200 domestic and foreign tourists are coming here every day.

He said, "With the increase in the number of tourists coming to the trekking, the number of tourists coming to the waterfall has also started to increase." He says that even though the election is focusing the attention of most of the people, the tourists are being lured by the waterfalls including that.

Even the tourists who went to Manang by vehicle stop their vehicle after reaching there and enjoy the waterfall. Chhaara easily entices anyone who gets there. Some of the tourists who are fascinated by looking at the face take photos of the face, while others take their own photos and selfies with the face in the background.

Due to the first to third wave of corona infection, the number of daily tourists has started to increase as the risk of infection has decreased due to the long period of silence.

Saroj Bishwakarma, a local, said that this waterfall is especially visited by external tourists who come on the Annapurna trail and domestic tourists who visit Manang.

Not only him, but most of the tourists who reach Sae waterfall have the same opinion. As this waterfall falls in the middle of the Besisahar-Chame road, it attracts the passengers and tourists who go by motorcycle. Locals say that most of the tourists take pictures of this waterfall and post it on social media.

For some time, only 10/12 people who travel to Manang by vehicle used to enjoy the waterfall, but the locals say that tourists are increasing rapidly these days.

Pancha Bahadur Gurung, a tourism businessman here, said that when tourists arrive, the tourism business will also flourish. He said, "If we can organize further promotion of such waterfalls that attract tourists, the number of tourists will come every twelve months and the business will also run well."

Similarly, the number of tourists has started to increase at Bung Jharna in the same ward, which is near the Annapurna trek. It is said that 80 to 100 tourists visit this waterfall, which has been deserted for some time.

Located at a distance of 32 km from the headquarters Besisahar, this chhahara has started to attract the attention of tourists. Purna Bahadur Gurung, a local, says that there will be a crowd of people taking pictures and taking selfies with the stars shining in the background.
