24-hour explanation of CAAN for stranded passengers

KATHMANDU, Nov 01: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has asked the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC)  for an explanation within 24 hours.

CAAN has asked for an explanation within 24 hours saying that the passenger of Flight No. RA-217 departing from Kathmandu to Delhi was called to the airport without permission from CAAN and was stranded.

According to the Non-Military Air Flight Act, 2015 and Regulations, 2073, NAC has been asked for an explanation within 24 hours by calling the passengers to the airport on non-flight days and providing boarding passes illegally.

According to the new flight schedule of CAAN, one of the three flights of the corporation operating from Tribhuvan International Airport was to be operated from Gautam Buddha International Airport at Bhairahawa. However, after the corporation refused to fly from Bhairahawa, CAAN cut one of its flights.
