Mountain helicopter rescue of stranded tourists from Mt. Changla

KATHMANDU, Oct 12: Tourists stranded by snowfall at the base camp of Mount Changla in humla have been rescued.

Five British citizens and two Nepali citizens who have been climbing Mt.Changla located in Simkot Rural Municipality-1 for a week have been rescued safely by Mountain Air helicopter.

Akriti Pradhan, Flight Officer of Mountain Helicopter, did not inform that although efforts were made to rescue the seven stranded tourists on Monday afternoon, they could not be rescued due to bad weather.

After receiving a circular from the Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday, it was asked to rescue the tourists who were stranded in the base camp of Mount Changla due to snowfall, but the weather did not cooperate and they were rescued Tuesday.

Five British citizens and two Nepali citizens who reached Mount Changla to climb the mountain were stranded in Mount Changla for a week.
