Foreign tourist increses in Bandipur
TANAHUN,Sep 30: Bandipur, the main tourist destination of Tanahun, has begun to attract foreign tourists. With the onset of October, foreign tourists have started coming to Bandipur.
Businessmen say that it is time for foreigners to visit Bandipur. Chairman of Bandipur Tourism Development Committee and hotelier Kisan Pradhan informed that the arrival of foreign tourists has started.
"Just three days ago, 70 foreign guests came to Bandipur", Pradhan said. Most of the tourists coming to Bandipur are from France and Britain.
He said that Chinese tourists are at a standstill in Bandipur. "In the past, most of the tourists in Bandipur were Chinese, but now Chinese tourists are at a standstill, tourists from European countries are coming," he said.
He said that because of the visiting time of foreign tourists, tourists who come to Nepal come to Bandipur in a package. 'Tourists who come to Nepal go to visit places like Pokhara, Sauraha and then visit Bandipur', he said, 'They are fascinated by the customs and lifestyle here.'
Businessmen say that although the movement of foreign tourists has started in Bandipur, domestic tourists are few. Hotelier Basant Poudel said that the arrival of domestic guests has decreased. "Swadeshi guests have only arrived in Bandipur in spades," he said.
From the headquarters Damauli, 18 km through Dumre, an eight km uphill journey reaches Bandipur. From where one can observe picturesque snow ranges, mountains, and Takura. From Bandipur, which is full of natural beauty, you can see snow ranges like Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri etc.
Houses built in Bhaktapur style, Tundikhel, Thanimai, Tindhara, Ranivan, Ramkot, Sunakhari, Khaddevi Temple, Vindhyavasini Temple, Mahalakshmi Temple, Information Center etc. are the first choice of tourists coming here. There are 77 small and big hotels affiliated to the hotel association in Bandipur.
