Nepal Tourism Board and Embassy of the Republic of Korea Strengthen Tourism Collaboration
KATHMANDU, Jan 29:The Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea had a significant courtesy meeting to strengthen tourism connects between the two countries. The meeting was marked by fruitful discussions aimed at fostering collaboration and boosting South Korean tourist arrivals to Nepal.
His Excellency Mr. Park Tae-Young, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, and Mr. Deepak Raj Joshi, CEO of Nepal Tourism Board, led the discussions, focusing on positioning Nepal as a top destination for South Korean travelers. Key topics included promoting Nepal’s breathtaking natural landscapes, vibrant cultural heritage, and diverse adventure tourism opportunities to the South Korean market.
“Nepal has immense potential as a favored destination for South Korean travelers, and we are committed to creating meaningful partnerships to highlight the unique experiences our country offers,” said Mr. Joshi. “This collaboration will pave the way for enhanced tourism exchanges and mutual growth.”
The meeting concluded on a positive and forward-looking note, with both parties pledging to work together in the coming months to enhance South Korean tourist arrivals and foster a sustainable tourism partnership. The discussions also emphasized mutual efforts in creating effective promotional campaigns and expanding people-to-people connections.
Also present on the occasion were Ms. Nandini L. Thapa, Sr. Director, NTB; Mr. Sunil Sharma, Officiating Director; Mr. Rohini Khanal, Sr. Manager; Mr. Gokul Bhandari, Sr. Officer from NTB, and Ms. Kim Yumi, Third Secretary & Vice Consul at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, who expressed their enthusiasm for the shared vision of strengthening tourism cooperation between the two nations.
