Cable car construction begins in Pathibhara

TAPLEJUNG, Jan 21:The construction of the 'Pathibhara Devi Mukumlung Darshan Cable Car' project, which will connect the famous religious pilgrimage site of Pathibhara Devi Temple in Taplejung, began on Tuesday.

Indra Kedem, the head of Himalaya Construction, said that the cable car construction has commenced at the lowest station.

According to Kedem, the next phase of development will move quickly because all political parties, legislators, local people's representatives and locals, government agencies, and security agencies in the district are working together and coordinating.

Rudra Poudel, the director of the Pathibhara Cable Car, stated that once built and operational, it will contribute to the economic, social, and cultural development of Taplejung area and will be a watershed moment in the economic success of Koshi Province as a whole. He stated that the cable car's construction will go quickly.

According to Poudel, visitors will be able to ride the cable car to Pathibhara Devi within the next 15 months. The cable car will make it easier for devotees, including the disabled, the old, and children, to reach Pathibhara Devi. The Pathibhara Cable Car is expected to set a precedent for tourism promotion, employment creation, environmental sustainability, and economic and social growth.

Poudel stated that once the cable car is functioning, the number of tourists visiting Pathibhara Devi will exceed one million per year. He predicted that the number of devotees will grow exponentially as more people were able to see Pathibhara Devi thanks to the cable car.

He also stated that the cable car project will assist Taplejung establish itself as a one-of-a-kind tourism destination offering safe, sustainable, and world-class tourism products and services.

The Pathibhara Cable Car is operated and managed by the IME Group. IME has a decade and a half of experience constructing and operating cable cars.

IME, which established a new tourism attraction in Kathmandu by building the first cable car in Chandragiri, now operates the Maulakali cable car in Nawalpur and the Lumbini cable car in Butwal. Both cable cars were finished and put into service ahead of schedule. Similarly, the building of the Jalpadevi cable car in Karnali is moving quickly.

Now, the IME Group has asked for the Pathibhara Devi Darshan cable car to be completed as quickly as feasible, as well as the development of further 'game changer' projects in Nepal's tourism business.
