Prime Minister Oli to inaugurate the five-star Hotel Mercure today
KATHMANDU, Jan 15:The five-star Hotel Mercure of the French brand has opened in Sukedhara. Deshbandhu Basnet chairman this hotel, which was established by AB Holding.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is scheduled to inaugurate the hotel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. The 104-room, five-star Hotel Mercure has opened in Sukedhara, the capital.
This hotel, which has an 11-story building, cost approximately 3 billion rupees to build. The hotel will offer a unique travel experience and demonstrate excellence in quality service facilities.
The Accor Group, which manages over 5,400 hotels in 110 countries across Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East, has entered Nepal.
Mercure is one of almost 40 Accor Group brands that have entered Nepal.
The Mercure brand of the AccorHotels Group, which Basnet introduced to Nepal through The Metropolitan Hotel Pvt. Ltd., has more than 810 properties in over 60 countries.
This hotel's specialty is its hospitality service, which mixes the impact of local art, culture, and history with contemporary design and service. Its goal is to ensure consistency in all of its brands' services while also providing superior tourist services.
The hotel covers five ropanis and has 11 stories. The hotel features a swimming pool on the top floor, Nepali, Indian, and Chinese restaurants, a 300-capacity banquet hall, a modern gym, steam and sauna, and a wellness center. The hotel now has 220 employees.
The Mercure Hotel, which began operations in Nepal, features one executive suite, seven junior suites, and basic rooms with interconnecting facilities.
Basnet is on the executive committee of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI). He chairs the FNCCI's aviation and transportation committee. He also serves as the honorary consul of Zambia.
