Birendra Bishram Batika at Tikapur Park opened to public

KAILALI, Jan 14:The Birendra Bishram Batika, located in Tikapur Park, will be opened to the public. The decision was made during Tikapur Municipality's executive meeting on the 22nd of Paush.

Mayor Ramlal Dagoura Tharu said that the Birendra Bishram Batika will be open to the public, with an entry fee of Rs 20. He stated, "Since most visitors to the park express an interest in seeing what the house where the then-King Birendra lived is like, we are going to open the garden for public viewing beginning in the month of Magh."

Birendra Bishram Batika, constructed in 2043 BS, contains twelve rooms. The then-King Birendra is said to have stayed in this garden on occasion when he visited Tikapur.
