Wildlife photographer' Chungba Sherpa passes away
KATHMANDU, Jan 13:Chungba Sherpa, a famous wildlife photographer, has passed away. The 64-year-old Sherpa passed at Grande Hospital around 12:15 p.m. on Sunday.
Sherpa, who had a permanent address in Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-1, Lukla, Solukhumbu, had been receiving treatment for a week owing to liver difficulties.
He was being treated on a ventilator. Funuru Sherpa, the Ward Chairman of Khumbu Pasanglhamu Rural Municipality-1, verified Sherpa's death during treatment.
He's got two boys and three daughters. He is also active in the tourism industry.
Sherpa, who has been active in wildlife photography for a few years, was involved with a number of national and international photography organizations.
