Kamal Bahadur Thakuri elected as new President of NARA

KATHMANDU, Jan 12:Kamal Bahadur Thakuri has been elected as the president of the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA), the umbrella organization for rafting entrepreneurs.

The 36th Annual General Meeting of the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (NARA) has concluded. The 36th Annual General Meeting of NARA concluded in Kathmandu with the introducing of a new working committee.

Kamal Bahadur Thakuri has been elected as the chair of the new working committee, with Suk Bahadur Lama as vice-chairman, Chudamani Aryal as general secretary, Devraj Jaisi as secretary, and Bishnu Gurung and Sanjiv Kumar Tamang as members. The position of treasurer is vacant.

The newly elected president, Kamal Thakuri, stated that while each organization has its own goal, this group must likewise strive toward tourism. Working at NARA today presents additional obstacles. He stated that the study and efforts in this area will continue as natural resources are used more.

Shiva Adhikari, former president of NARA stated enthusiastically at today's new working committee meeting that NARA will have its own building within the next two years. I have taken the initiative to construct a building costing Rs 4.5 crore. In the next two years, NARA will hold its annual general meeting in its own building. This is a matter of great joy for me.
