Record-breaking number of passengers passing via TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 11:In 2024, more than 9.423 million travelers flew through Tribhuvan International Airport. This is the most passengers that have traveled in a single year so far.

According to the Airport Office, there has also been a record number of international travelers passing through Tribhuvan International Airport. In 2024, 4.963 million individuals traveled overseas via airport. The previous record high for international aviation passengers was 4.541 million in 2023.

Similarly, in 2024, 4.460 million people travel domestically. The record for the number of passengers on domestic flights was set in 2022. In 2022, 4.466 million people traveled domestically.

The total air travel in 2024 was 9.423 million, while in 2023, 8.691 million people traveled domestically.
