Parliamentary committee directed that construction on Nijgadh Airport begin immediately

KAHMANDU, Jan 11:The parliamentary committee has directed that the construction of the Nijgadh International Airport in Bara begin immediately. The International Relations and Tourism Committee of the House of Representatives met on Thursday and issued such instructions.

After a discussion on Nepal Airlines Corporation's flight and service operations, the committee agreed that Nijgadh International Airport is important.

The committee's decision states: "Directions will be given to the Government of Nepal and the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to promptly proceed with the construction of the under-construction Nijgadh International Airport from the perspective of national importance, security, and economic development."
