Homework to implement a card system for tourist convenience

BIRGUNJ, Jan 10:To make it easier for tourists to enter Nepal through the main entrance, preparations are underway to set up integrated check-in and card.

Since Indian tourists, particularly those entering Nepal via the Birgunj border, have encountered numerous security issues, which has had a negative impact on Nepal's tourism sector, preparations are being made to provide services by establishing an integrated security check-in center at the local level on behalf of the District Administration Office, according to Parsa Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal.

At a program hosted by the Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs Association in Birgunj Parsa in honor of elected officials and members of the Federation of Nepali Journalists, Chief District Officer Aryal stated that work is being done to arrange for check-in at only two locations in three districts for the convenience and systematic recording of Indian tourists visiting Nepal.

According to him, the district's three security officials will be present at the integrated checkpoint. After the three officials undertake security checks, the yellow card will be given and sent to the tourists, making it easy for them to reach their destination. Chief District Officer Aryal stated that plans are being made to arrange cards so that tourists who have checked in from Birgunj can check in at least twice in the three districts.

He stated that the Parsa Police Chief and the Armed Police Force have been directed to record how many visitors are crossing the Birgunj border and then facilitate tourists who have the yellow card so that they do not have to go through security checks. According to Chief District Officer Aryal, "Tourists who come here come to visit Sauraha in Chitwan and Daman in Makawanpur." Tourists returning from there should be able to visit and return without any difficulty.

Chief District Officer Aryal said that discussions have taken place with the Chief District Officers of Bara and Makawanpur regarding integrated checkpoints and yellow cards, and that homework is being done to adopt the method of checking at only two locations in the three districts.

Journalists elected at the central, provincial, and district levels of the Federation of Nepali Journalists were honored in a ceremony presided over by Hari Pant, President of the Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs Association Birgunj. Pant, President of the Hotel and Tourism Entrepreneurs Association Birgunj said that the journalists were honored for raising issues through the media about the development, promotion, and problems of the tourism sector and for establishing professional and professional relations.
