Mingma Sherpa, world record-breaking mountaineer, receives welcomed at TIA

KATHMANDU, Jan 06:Mingma Gyalje Sherpa, a world record-holding mountaineer and mountain guide, was warmly welcomed at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. The Nepal Mountaineering Association, Nepal National Mountain Guide Association, Mount Everest Summiters Club, Rollwalling Dolakha, and Imagine Nepal Treks all sent a warm welcome to the Sherpa, who landed in Kathmandu on Friday after successfully climbing Mount Aconcagua in Argentina.

Recently, on December 28, the Sherpa successfully ascended Mount Aconcagua in Argentina and returned to Kathmandu after completing the Seven Summits. He has also made it to the South Pole by skiing.

Sherpa previously scaled Mount Shishpangma in China without oxygen on October 18, this year. Mingma is the first Nepali to climb 14 of the world's 8,000-meter peaks without using supplemental oxygen. Mingma is an IFMGA/UIAGM-certified mountain guide and the director of Imagine Nepal Treks.
