Koshi Tourism Year Secretariat established
KATHMANDU, Jan 03:The Secretariat for Koshi Tourism Year 2082 has been established. On Sunday, the Secretariat was established in Kosi Province's Ministry of Tourism, Forestry, and Environment.
Sadananda Mandal, Minister of Tourism, Forestry, and Environment for Koshi Province, opened the Secretariat. Minister Mandal stated during the Secretariat inaugural program that the Tourism Year is being observed with the goal of building national capital through travelers and tourism.
He stated that the government's goal is to stimulate the economy through tourism and to establish Koshi Province as a tourism hub. He made it clear that the Tourism Year will only be effective if everyone works together.
Bishal Ghimire, the Ministry's Secretary, attended the session, as did tourism entrepreneurs, journalists, and others. The Koshi Province government has allocated Rs 100 million in the current fiscal year for the preparation of the Tourism Year, and the Tourism Year programs have begun with the establishment of the Secretariat, according to Krishna Kumar Sah, Co-Coordinator of the Koshi Tourism Year Steering Committee.
