Hotels in Bhairahawa area have 100% occupancy

BHAIRAHAWA, Jan 03:There are now more star hotels in the Bhairahawa area due to the rise in local, Indian, and international tourism. Over the past month, all of the hotels in this area have reached 100% occupancy. According to hotel management, the occupancy rate was over 70% in January, and more travelers arrived in December for destination weddings, FITs, and group travels.

Since all four-star and above hotels also have casinos, there is high pressure from Indian tourists.  For the Christmas and New Year celebrations, many tourists have traveled from India. The five-star hotel Tiger Palace by Soaltee had a 100% occupancy rate in December and January, according to Nisha Thapa, senior sales executive for the hotel. Thapa said that all the rooms in the hotel, which has more than 100 rooms, are booked for the entire month of December.

In January, bookings are likewise at 100 percent. Thapa stated that since the casino opened last week, the hotel has been a popular tourist destination. The management of the Tiger Palace was taken over by Soaltee Hotels a few weeks ago.  The occupancy rate at Hotel Siddhartha Vilasa, run by the Siddhartha Group in Bhairahawa, exceeds 60%. Hotel director Mahendra Neupane stated that occupancy is high because it is a new hotel and more Indian tourists visited in December as a destination wedding.

The hotel contains 85 rooms. Preparations are ongoing to open a casino within the hotel. Sunil Shrestha, general manager of the four-star Nance Hotel in Bhairahawa, stated that occupancy is high. It was more than 80% in December, and bookings were also excellent in January, he said. Another four-star hotel, Hotel Maurya, in Devkota Chowk, has an occupancy rate of more than 80 percent, according to managing director Ram Bahadur Koiri.

He stated that tourist arrivals have increased significantly over the previous year. Koiri stated that bookings in January were approximately 70%. Om Prakash Pandey, general manager of Hotel Asian Buddha on Lumbini Road, reported that the hotel is 85 percent booked. He informed us that 70% of the rooms are booked for the month of January. The occupancy rate at Hotel Nirvana by Luxury International, an ancient hotel, is also higher than 80 percent, according to Pawan Goyal, the hotel's general manager.

Tourists visiting Lumbini, tourists traveling via Bhairahawa, and Indian and foreign tourists visiting the casino are becoming more common. Asha Gurung, chairman of Landmark Bhairahawa, stated that the recently opened star hotel Landmark in Bhairahawa is more than 80 percent booked. Similarly, Bodhi Redshan Hotel has an occupancy rate of more than 70 percent.

The hotel's director, Nikhil Yadav, stated that tourists from other nations are visiting Lumbini. The occupancy rate of star hotels in the Bhairahawa area is more over 80%. Similarly, hotels such as Dreamland gold in Manigram and Pawan Palace in Lumbini have high occupancy rates.
