Bandipur aims to attract 200,000 visitors in Visit Year 2025
TANAHUN, Dec 28:To attract visitors to the village from Bandipur Bazaar, the Bandipur Rural Municipality of Tanahun has taken the initiative. The primary goal is to aid the community, and as tourists are centered in Bandipur Bazaar, also referred to as the Queen of the Mountains, the English year 2025 has been declared as Bandipur Visit Year.
At a press conference on Thursday, the rural municipality declared that it has chosen to commemorate Bandipur Visit Year-2025, beginning with the English New Year, so that visitors to the market can visit both the Bandipur Bazaar and the village's tourist attractions, according to rural municipality chairman Surendra Thapa.
"We decided to mark the visit year in order to attract tourists to all six wards of Bandipur," stated Chairman Thapa. We have constructed a stairway, improved the road, and implemented a bright Bandipur program to facilitate tourists' access to the village."
At the press conference, Bandipur Visit Year 2025 coordinator Bais Gurung stated that the Visit Year will be observed because Bandipur has not only the Bandipur Bazaar, but also South Asia's largest Siddha Gufa, Ramkot, Dharampani, and other homestays, Raniban ManiMukundasen Durbar, Thanimai, and many other tourist attractions that have not been promoted.
The goal is to raise the 1.5 lakh tourists that visit Bandipur each year to 2 lakh. According to Gurung, we anticipate that the Visit Year will help visitors remain in Bandipur for at least three more days. The purpose of the Visit Year, according to the press conference, was to increase the quality of the Bandipur region's tourism attractions, industry, trade, physical infrastructure, human resources, and promotional activities.
According to Kisan Pradhan, Chairman of the Bandipur Tourism Development Committee, Visit Bandipur-2025 would include a variety of tourism promotion initiatives held throughout the year. He stated that discounts on lodging and meals had been provided for individuals who arrive in groups. He informed me that an international cycling tournament will be place in Bandipur during the upcoming Magh month as part of tourism promotion.
Tourists have been drawn to the snow-capped mountains, the largest Siddha Cave in South Asia, houses built in the Bhaktapur style, Tundikhel, Thanimai, Tindhara, Raniban, Ramkot, Sunkhari, Khaddevi Temple, Bindhyavasini Temple, Mahalaxmi Temple, paragliding, Rock climbing and other attractions.
Bandipur is 74 kilometers from Pokhara and 142 kilometers from Kathmandu. It can be reached by traveling nine kilometers on a winding paved road from Dumre Bazaar on the Prithvi Highway.
