Separate pavilion established to promoted honey at third Khairahani Festival
CHITWAN: A separate pavilion has been established to promoted honey at the third Khairahani Festival. Separate pavilion have been established with the goal of promoting honey and encouraging farmers to participate in the festival, which began on December 20.
A big dummy bee has also been prepared here. In addition to selling honey, the festival offers consultations on its benefits. Beekeeping farms in Chitwan (Khairahani and Rapti) and Makawanpur (Raksirang) have built up honey shops on their premises. Kumar Khanal, President of the Khairahani Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that this year's festival prioritizes honey because Khairhani and Eastern Chitwan have enormous honey potential.
He stated, "Honey is often regarded as extremely good to health. We have prioritized the third Khairahani Festival to stimulate consumption and develop commerce." Khanal, the event organizing committee's coordinator, informed us that beekeeping is widely practiced in Chitwan's Khairahani, Rapti, and Kalika towns.
According to him, a bee pocket programme is also being conducted in Khairahani. The festival, which started on December 20th, will continue until the 31st.
