18th Elephant and Tourism Festival (Photo Feature)

The 18th Elephant and Tourism Festival began on Thursday in the tourist city of Sauraha. The festival's  inaugural program, organized by the Regional Hotel Association Chitwan, began with a cultural march from Dam Side to Gainda Chowk and Hatti Chowk.

After circling the city, the procession arrived at the program's destination, Baghmara Buffer Zone Community Forest. The Elephant and Tourism Festival is conducted every year in Sauraha to promote tourism in Chitwan.

The festivities will run until December 31.
