Chinese players arrive in Pokhara on Sichuan Airlines charter plane

POKHARA, Dec 26:129 people landed in Pokhara by chartering a Sichuan Airlines flight from Chengdu Airport in China.

The participants arrived in a charter plane to compete in the International Dragon Boat Festival, which begins on Friday in Pokhara.

The second Dragon Boat Festival will be held in Fewa Lake. The festival has eight Chinese teams, one Singaporean team, and eleven Nepalese teams.

Chinese players had also traveled to Pokhara by chartering a Sichuan plane for the previous year's festival. They have come to Pokhara three times by chartering a Sichuan plane. They had also come to Pokhara by chartering a plane for the cross-country running championship held in Pokhara last Kartik.
