Mugu citizens troubles due to lack of regular flights at Rara Airport

MUGU, Nov 18:The citizens of Mugu are in trouble since there aren't enough regular flights at Rara airport. Because Summit Air, Tara Air, Nepal Airlines, and Sita Air did not operate regular flights, patients, students, and citizens who needed to leave the district for various reasons were in trouble.

According to Mr. Krishna Rijal, the head of Rara Airport, flights have been disrupted because all planes were busy transporting tourists to the eastern region a few days ago.

Because the journey on the Karnali highway is difficult and risky residents believe air travel is easy and secure. Because of the high rate of accidents on the Karnali highway, driving is not safe, hence Mugu residents only journey when absolutely necessary.

Air service has become a secure choice for local residents. Residents have urged that the airline run regular flights at Rara Airport.

Because Mugu is a tourism region, daily flights have previously occurred; however, due to sporadic flights, patients, students, and others leaving the district have encountered additional issues. All airlines have operated one or two weekly flights to Rara.

Most of the tourists who come to visit Rara, the largest and deepest lake in Nepal, reach Rara by road and return by air after visiting the Rara area for a few days. Domestic and foreign tourists visiting Rara have been affected due to a lack of regular flights.
