Tourism entrepreneur Devendra Wagle passes away
KATHMANDU, Nov 12:Devendra Wagle, a tourism entrepreneur, has passed away.
Wagle, 55, was born in Bungkot, Gorkha, and died on Sunday at 6:58 pm while receiving treatment at HAMS Hospital in Dhumbarahi. He was cremated in Pashupati Aryaghat on Tuesday morning.
Wagle was brought to the hospital on November 4 for liver concerns.
Wagle founded Nepal Vision Treks Company in 1992 and has since operated hotels, travel, tours, and other companies in Kathmandu's main tourist hub, Thamel.
There are half a dozen hotels, including the Apsara Boutique Hotel and Blue Horizon.
Devendra Wagle, the son of Chiranjeevi Wagle, the former Nepali Congress vice president and minister, was also politically active. He also served on the Congress General Committee.
