Butter lamp illumination to take place in Lumbini for ten days for world peace and goodwill
BHAIRAHAWA, Nov 11:Butter Lamps will be lit in Lumbini, Lord Gautama Buddha's sacred birthplace, at a rate of 1,11,125 every day for ten days.
On December 7th to December 16th, lamps will be lit in this religiously significant place for world peace and goodwill. Lumbini is an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists across the world.
Karma Tashi, the organization's founder and president, stated that lamps will be lit in Lumbini for ten days as part of 'The Integrated Indigenous Tribal Children Ministry of India' project. According to him, it will bring together people from all religious sects and traditions.
The event will be inaugurated by the 41st Shakya Kyabgon Gongma Trichen Rinpoche. On the days of the lamp lighting, there will also be a meal program for 2,000 poor people. The organizer has requested that you support and participate in this program, stating that it is solely for religious reasons and has no commercial aim.
Tashi stated that lamps worth Rs 11 million would be ignited in ten days. Lumbini is a popular destination for Buddhist pilgrims and peace lovers from throughout the world. Lumbini has been on the World Heritage List since 1997.
