Sun Nepal Life Insurance achieved an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate

KATHMANDU:Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company has got the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate from UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service), which is recognized by MTVO Limited UK.

The company claims that this standard certifies that all of its information security systems have been appropriately managed in compliance with worldwide information security management standards. In addition, the company claims to have followed good procedures as outlined by international standards.

The company has audited ISO/IEC 27001:2022 on the basis of such international standards in order to successfully comply with the regulatory system for risk-based life insurance business and institutional governance.

Sun Nepal Life Insurance is Nepal's first and only life insurance company to get ISO/IEC 27001: 2022 accreditation in compliance with international standards.

With this, the company claims to determine what risks exist in each process, what their short- and long-term implications are, and to develop a risk reduction strategy from the first line of defense to control them.

With the recognition of ISO/IEC 27001: 2022, the company's information security system will be regularly monitored via periodic examinations.

According to the statement, the company thinks that its information security system would be constantly reinforced by ongoing compliance and practices.
