Panchkanya Steel gets GreenPro certificate

KATHMANDU:Panchakanya Steel Private Limited received the GreenPro certification.

Ujjwal Shrestha, Panchkanya's executive director, said that Panchkanya Pvt Ltd in Bhairahawa, Rupandehi, is the first iron manufacturer in Nepal to receive the Green Pro certification.

Panchkanya's 500 XD and 550 XD TMT steel rebars have been certified GreenPro.

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Sorabji Godrej Green Business Center granted the GreenPro awarded on October 16. 

This certification designates the two types of steel iron as environmentally friendly products. The GreenPro accreditation is valid internationally and involves passing stringent environmental sustainability standards.

How much waste material has the company generated during the iron production process, and how has it been controlled. How much has industrial waste impacted the environment?

What is the level of environmental pollution during production? The certification is provided based on the product's quality and durability.

At the ceremony in Delhi, India, Shrestha noted that this achievement represents the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and excellence in the construction industry. He noted that the GreenPro certification has encouraged the company to continue creating environmentally friendly items.

According to Shrestha, Panchakanya Steel is the only Nepalese company acknowledged among participants from over 70 nations in the GreenPro certification process.

Devendra Sahu, the company's general manager, stated that they have adopted the notion of zero carbon emissions and are dedicated to adopting low-carbon raw materials and technologies. He believes that GreenPro-certified steel rebars will offer considerable advantages to users.
