Booking of air ticket in advance for Dashain begins

KATHMANDU, Sep 19:With around 25 days until Dasain, ticket bookings for various destinations has already begun. Passengers have begun purchasing tickets for Dashain in anticipation of an increase in passenger numbers and a potential ticket shortage.

Domestic flights from Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, and Shree Airlines are booking Dashain tickets at all destinations.

According to the airlines, there is no booking for flying tickets. Passengers can order tickets at any time for their convenience because ticket booking is always open.

During Dashain, especially between the day before Phulpati and Dashami day, there is a rush to leave Kathmandu. So far, 70% of Buddha Air and Yeti Airlines tickets have been booked.

According to Dipendra Karna, spokesperson for Buddha Air, tickets for some destinations may not be available.

He states that tickets to Sankhuwasabha's Tumlingtar have already been reserved. Passengers began booking their trips two months before Dashain.

"Now, if someone cancels the ticket, the ticket will be available, otherwise the ticket booking for Tumlingtar has already been done," he explained. However, "there may be a situation where tickets will not be available at other airports with less number of flights."

Buddha Air's ATR-72 currently operates one daily flight at Tumlingtar. Buddha Air currently has 19 ATR aircraft. It has almost 150 daily flights.

Similarly, Yeti Airlines spokesperson Sudarshan Bartaula says that ticket bookings for Dashain are increased.

According to him, departing travelers are booking tickets for the day before Phulpati and the day before Tika.

He says that if you book tickets in advance, it will be cheaper.

Many people hear that airlines raise fares around Dashain, however this is not the truth. If you buy tickets early, you can obtain some cheap tickets with the lowest rate,' he continued, 'even if the plane leaving Kathmandu is full of passengers, the returning plane is empty. Managing it is both inexpensive and expensive.

He stated that if the day of departure has been set, and you purchase your ticket on time, you will be able to go at a reduced rate.

Yeti Airlines is now operating to a variety of destinations using seven ATR 72 aircraft.
