Parliamentary committee directed tourism minister to submit ICAO report within a week

KATHMANDU, July 27:Parliament's Tourism and International Relations Committee has been directed to submit the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) report within a week. The committee meeting on Thursday asked Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, to provide the ICAO report within one week.

In addition to this, the committee has provided five more directives. In the debates about Nepal's air safety, the ICAO report, Korean Airlines' monopoly, and the operation of Pokhara and Bhairahawa airports, Chairman Rajkishore Yadav directed Minister Pandey to present the ICAO report to the committee within a week. Chairman Yadav recommended that the orders issued in other cases be in writing when he attends the next meeting.

During the meeting, he directed that the 2022 report be submitted to the committee within a week, as well as information about the status of the bill to divide the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).

Similarly, the committee has been directed to submit detailed information concerning why Nepal was not removed from the EU's blacklist and who manipulated it, as well as whether Korean Airlines can be used as an option for Nepali workers traveling to Korea.
