Govt announces National Flag will fly half-mast tomorrow

KATHMANDU, July 24:The government has announced to fly the national flag at half-mast tomorrow, Thursday, in tribute of those who died in the airline crash.

The Council of Ministers held an emergency meeting on Wednesday and decided to observe mourning. According to Government Spokesperson and Communications Minister Prithvisubba Gurung, a five-member investigative commission has been established and told to conduct obligatory technical checks on the planes.

On Wednesday morning, a Saurya Airlines plane flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed on the TIA premises, killing 18 people and critically injuring the pilot.
