Chitwan National Park attracted 306,837 tourists

CHITWAN, July 23:Chitwan National Park has attracted more tourists than ever before.  The majority of tourists visited the park last fiscal year.

According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, the park's information officer, 306,837 tourists visited the park in the past fiscal year.

In the preceding fiscal year, the figure was 299,412.

The park said that this is the highest number ever. Surpassing that statistic, 7,425 more tourists visited the park last fiscal year than the previous fiscal year.

According to Tiwari, 1,76,316 Nepalis entered the nation during the last fiscal year.

In the previous fiscal year, there were 2,05,605 Nepalis. Similarly, 36,471 visitors from SAARC nations arrived in the recent fiscal year, up from 37,935 the previous year.

Similarly, foreign tourists from other nations totaled 94,050 last fiscal year and 55,872 the prior fiscal year.

According to this data, tourists from third countries have climbed dramatically over the recent year compared to the prior year. The number of tourists from SAARC nations has remained relatively stable, whereas the number of Nepalis has fallen.

The total number of tourists, including foreign tourists, in the park has expanded dramatically, as has the revenue. According to Tiwari, eco-tourism earned 305.7 million in revenue last year. The prior year, this figure was 229.3 million.

In the year 2078/79, 190,458 tourists visited the park. This year's revenue totaled 114.9 million.

 Similarly, in 2077/78, 98,928 tourists entered, generating Rs 35 million in revenue. In 2076/77, 1,82,435 tourists entered the park. That year, 199.2 million in revenue was received.

 According to Tiwari, the park has kept tourist data from its founding in 2031/32. Statistics show that 836 tourists visited the park that year. This earned an income of 1,40,298. In the second year, i.e. fiscal year 2032/33, 2,01,421 revenue was received when 2206 tourist parks were visited.

Chitwan National Park attracts both domestic and foreign tourists who want to study and observe rare wild creatures, birds, plants, and waterfowl.
