CAAN lifts NAC captain Bhawana Pant's flight suspension

KATHMANDU, June 12:The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has lifted the suspension of Captain Bhawana Pant, a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC).

Pant was removed from 'active duty' on the basis of a complaint of  flight safety violation in a prohibited area at Tribhuvan International Airport. However, CAAN spokesperson Hansraj Pandey informed that the suspension of the flight was lifted after Captain Pant was found not guilty during the investigation.

Pandey stated, 'There was a complaint against the pilot Pant that he had committed a prohibited act in a prohibited area, and his flight suspension was lifted as it was found that there was no serious or safety impact during the investigation. On June 3, captain Pant of Nepal Airlines Corporation's narrow body aircraft 'A320-200' was removed from 'active duty'.
