Third edition of Mahalaxmi Corporate Cricket League began today

KATHMANDU:Mahalakshmi Corporate Cricket League-2024, third edition, began today to mark Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank's 30th anniversary.

Ballpark Sports Events and Academy will be place at Imadol in Lalitpur from June 4th to June 6th.

The league will have 31 games and 160 players, with seven commercial banks, eight development banks, and one financing company participating.

The winner's trophy and jersey were announced during the meeting and tie seat program on Friday by Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank's company secretary and department heads. At the same event, jerseys were given to the team captains.

The competition will consist of 31 matches and will be structured in a league-cum-knockout system. The 16 competing teams will be divided into four groups, with the top two from each group advancing to the quarterfinals. The match will consist of 10 overs per inning.

Participating banks include Machhapuchhre Bank, NMB Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Prime Commercial Bank, Kumari Bank, Everest Bank, Nabil Bank, Garima Bikas Bank, Lumbini Bikas Bank, Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank, Jyoti Bikas Bank, Shangrila Development Bank, Shine Resunga Development Bank, Muktinath Bikas Bank, and ICFC Finance.

Prizes will be given to the top players in several categories, such as the winner, runner-up team, man of the series, best bowler, best batsman, best wicketkeeper, best fielder, and so on. All competitive games will be streamed on the bank's main social media channel (Facebook).
