Machhapuchhre Bank handed over drinking water infrastructure to Tribhuvan Jana Secondary school

KATHMANDU:Machhapuchhre Bank built and handed over drinking water infrastructure to Shree Tribhuvan Jana Secondary School.

As part of its social responsibility, the bank provided drinking water infrastructure to a school in Karnali's Surkhet area.

On Wednesday, the school performed a formal ceremony to hand over the water facility.

After realizing that a lack of drinking water, which is critical for school operations, is causing problems with teaching and learning, the bank assessed the school's condition and built the necessary infrastructure.

The school, which has 289 students and 18 teachers/staff, was providing drinking water by temporarily connecting a water pipe from a spring that was 3500 meters distant. There were issues such as water drying up during droughts, water pipes burning, and power outages during fires.

Keeping this in mind, the bank constructed a tank in the source to ensure a continuous water supply, as well as a water pipe on school grounds, and turned over the infrastructure to the school management committee.

It has been informed that the complete infrastructure was built after approximately two months.

As part of its corporate social responsibility, the bank has collaborated with various types of organizations across the country in subjects like as health, education, infrastructure construction, financial literacy, sustainable development, and more.
