Govt plans to utilized closed domestic airport for adventure sports

KATHMANDU, May 29:The government plans to utilized the closed domestic airport for adventure sports.

Domestic airports that are now inactive, such as Balewa Airport in Baglung, Lamidanda Airport in Khotang, Humde Airport in Manang, Rumjatar Airport in Okhaldhunga, and Baitadi Airport, will be developed into paragliding and skydiving destinations in collaboration with the private sector.

Finance Minister Barsh Man Pun said this while  presented the budget for 2081-82 on Tuesday.
