Janaki Temple will be efforts to be added to World Heritage List
KATHMANDU, May 16:The government has announced that it will take the initiative to list the Janaki Temple in Janakpur on the World Heritage List.
During the joint sitting of the Federal Parliament, President Ramchandra Paudel presented the policies and programs planned by the government and declared that efforts will be made to include the Janaki Temple on the World Heritage List.
UNESCO lists places of cultural and natural importance in the World Heritage List.
When such destinations are listed in the World Heritage List, the publicity of such destinations is spread worldwide.
Currently, Lumbini, Everest National Park, Chitwan National Park, and seven locations in Kathmandu Valley are listed as World Heritage Sites.
