Photojournalist Purnima Shrestha climbs Mt Everest for second time

KATHMANDU, May 12:Purnima Shrestha, a photojournalist, has successfully climbed Mount Everest for the second time. She climbed successfully on Sunday morning at 6:40 a.m.

Purnima climbed the world's highest peak for the first time in 2018. On September 26, 2017, Shrestha successfully ascended the 8,163-meter-high Manaslu mountain nicknamed as Killer Mountain. 

Purnima has been doing photojournalism for the past decade. She was born in Arughat, Gorkha District, and is a successful mountain climber. Purnima has climbed eight summits exceeding 8,000 meters, including Everest, K2, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse, Makalu, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, and Annapurna."

With the start of spring season mountaineering, numerous climbers have successfully climbed Mount Everest.
