CAAN installed luggage X-ray machines at Tenzing Hillary Airport

KATHMANDU, May 05:A luggage scanner (x-ray machine) system has been installed at Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), luggage was formerly checked physically at this airport, however it will now be checked by machine.

According to the CAAN, this will make it easier for passengers to check in and ensure flight security.

Hundreds of travelers pass through this airport throughout the tourism season. Lukla  is considered one of Nepal's busiest airports.
