Madhav Prasad Upadhyaya appointed as CEO of Garima Bikas Bank

KATHMANDU:Garima Bikas Bank Limited has appointed Madhav Prasad Upadhyay as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

The bank states that the 304th meeting of the board of directors, held on Wednesday, resolved to appoint Upadhyay as the bank's chief executive officer, effective April 13, 2024. Upadhyay worked as the bank's Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Upadhyay, who has a master's degree in management, has worked at Garima Bikas Bank Limited from its founding. He served as Company Secretary for 15 years and Deputy Chief Executive Officer for 11 years. He worked as a teaching profession before entering the banking business.

The tenure of Govinda Prasad Dhakal, who has been continuously holding the responsibility of Chief Executive Officer for 15 years, is ending at 12th March 2024.

The meeting also resolved to appoint Anil Regmi, Assistant Chief Executive Officer at Bikas Bank, as the bank's corporate secretary, effective March 28, 2024.
