Final preparations for the Mt Jugal ascent.

KATHMANDU, March 31:Final preparations have begun for the first ascent of two new peaks in Sindhupalchowk's Jugal mountain range.

Ten mountaineers from Mt Jugal-1 and Mt Jugal-2, which are at of Jugal rural municipality, will climb for the first time, according to the rural municipality office.

There will be seven Koreans and three Nepalese on the climbing team.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Nepal and the Republic of Korea,  Resham Syangbo, Chairman of municipality stated that preparations for the ascent by Nepali and Korean mountaineers from April 5th to April 27th, 202 have been finished.

The first ascent of Mt Jugal occurred in 2019 AD.

At the time, a team including mountaineers Maya Gurung and Milan Tamang successfully climbed Mt Jugal.
