Korean citizen dies in Everest region

KATHMANDU, March 17:A Korean citizen trekking the Everest region fallen down and died. 

According to the District Police Office, the dead is Hyunchal Swang, 47, from Korea.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Shrestha, he fell and died on March 11 in Khumbu Pasang Lhamu Rural Municipality-4 while returning from climbing Island Peak. According to the police, Hyunchal fell on the trail and fell around two meters.

DSP Shrestha stated that the deceased's body, which was retrieved by helicopter and taken to Lukla, has been sent to Kathmandu Teaching Hospital for an autopsy after the legal process is completed.

It is believed that the deceased Swang came to Khumbu for mountain climbing through Atex Company in March 4 .
