Over 15 thousand tourists visited Pumdikot in one day

KATHMANDU, March 17:More than 15,000 visitors have visited Pokhara's new tourism and religious pilgrimage spot, Pumdikot. Pokhara-22 Chandrakant Baral, President of Pumdikot Development Organization and industrialist, stated that on the day of Shivratri, the most visitors and tourists reached the tallest statue Mahadev monument complex in Pumdikota.

According to him, devotees of Shiva come Pumdikot to offer milk and see the highest number of tourists each year. The pilgrims arrived at Bishal Mahadev's idol complex and served milk to one hundred and eight Shivlings as part of their worship.

Traffic in that area has been congested throughout the morning, making it difficult to handle. As the weather cleared on Friday morning, Pumdikot offered views of Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Himashrikhala, Fewa Lake, Pokhara, Bishwa Shanti Stupa, Sarangkot, Kahundanda, and other sights.
