Karan Rawal and Priya Rai wins in Khijidemba Ultra Trail Race 2024

OKHALDHUNGA, March 09:An ultra trail marathon was held in Khijidemba in Okhaldhunga to encourage tourism. Khijidemba Rural Municipality organized the marathon, with the Okhaldhunga Tourism Development Committee co-organizing and the Nepal Tourism Board promoting it.

Karan Rawal won the men's 3000m marathon, while Priya Rai took the women's. Rai has won six consecutive matches in the last two months. Nirmala Rai took second place, Humi Budhamgar came in third, and Choki Sherpa finished fourth.

Rajan Meyongba finished second, Ramesh Limbu third, and Shaktiram Roka fourth.

Similarly, at the local level, Padam Kumari Sunuwar came first, Hirumaya Bhujel second, and Anita Sunuwar third. On the men's side, Prithvi Lal Rai first, Devraj Sunuwar second, and Dhan Bahadur Tamang third.

Rawal and Rai, who won the women's and men's events, received Rs 70,000 each. According to the NTB's press release, the second prize was Rs 60,000, the third prize was Rs 50,000, and the fourth prize was Rs 25,000.

The first, second, and third-place winners at the local level received 20,000, 15,000, and 10,000 rupees, respectively.
