Preparations for Sitaram Darshan and Tourism Promotion Program completed

KATHMANDU, Feb 25: The Hotel Association Nepal (HAN) has announced that the preparations for Sitaram Darshan and the tourism promotion program are completed.

Over 70 member hotels from across the country, including Kathmandu, will take part in the program, which runs from March 3 to 6.

Worship and aarti will be performed in the Janaki temple, as is traditional for Nepal publicity and tourism promotion, and prasad gifts, as well as other presents, will be offered to the Ayodhya Ram temple.

The HAN further stated that this program will improve the centuries-long religious, cultural, and social links between Nepal and India, as well as assist religious visitors from India in entering Nepal.

Over a hundred local travel operators from Kanpur and Gorakhpur, as well as local media, will attend the B2B event in Lucknow.

According to the HAN, the Nepal evening program on the same occasion would feature presentations of religious and tourism sites in Bardia, Nepalgunj, Lumbini, Birgunj, Biratnagar, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Kathmandu, as well as seven provinces of the country.

According to the HAN, this type of event has been created to encourage more Indian visitors and families to visit Nepal over the next summer holidays.

To promote Nepal, the HAN  would also publish and distribute an appealing tourism introductory book in Hindi.

In the context of India's growth of Ayodhya as a spiritual center, since millions of visitors would visit the site, it is hoped to benefit the tourism sector by attracting only a small percentage of tourists from this location, which is only 200 kilometers from the Nepal border.

According to the HAN's statement, publicity programs will be selected by including them in the HAN's yearly calendar.

According to the HAN, activities like "Garmi Se Behal, Chalo Nepal" that will take place in India this summer will directly contribute to the success of regional tourism marketing programs like 'Chalye Pokhara', 'Ghumie Sauraha', and 'Chalu Janakpur.
