Department of Commerce takes action against Dwarika's Hotel  and  Hotel Basera  for violating rules

KATHMANDU, Feb 15:The Department of Commerce, Supplies, and Consumer Protection has taken action against luxury hotels in Kathmandu for violating the rules.

During market monitoring, the department discovered that the hotel's requirements were violated, thus the department took action and was penalized. The department penalized the hotel for discovering expired food and beverages.

The department's monitor team paid a Rs 3 lakh fine to the Dwarika's Hotel in Kathmandu. The department reported that expired food items were discovered in the hotel. The department notified us that things such as edible color and coconut cream were discovered.

Similarly, another luxury hotel, Basera, has been fined three lakhs. After discovering expired bread and juice worth 2200 rupees, Hotel Basera were notified and punished.

Similarly, the La Himalayan Hotel in Lazimpat received a fine.
