Nepalgunj-Janakpur air service scheduled to begin this week

NEPALGUNJ, Feb 14:Nepalgunj-Janakpur flight service will begin this week.

Shreeram Sigdel, President of the Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), Banke Chapter, announced that charter flights will be operated on Saturday and Monday at the request of the Mithila Samaj in Nepalgunj. 

He stated that it is expected to assist promote religious tourism and connect Nepalganj's Bageshwari Temple and Janakpur Temple with Ayodhya in India.

President Sigdel said that one-way airfare has been fixed at Rs 8,500 for the upcoming flights to be operated by Yeti Airlines, with the flight schedule set for 1:30 PM.

President Sigdel stated, "Now, we have only tried to show the way; this will increase tourist traffic." In addition, Nepalgunj's market will grow active, and business will become more lively."

It is stated that after visiting the Shree Ram Temple in Ayodhya, India, going to the Janaki Temple in Janakpur, Nepal will bring merit. He stated that operating a state-of-the-art bus service between Nepalgunj and Ayodhya, in addition to the air route, is vital to encourage tourism and bring true wealth to Nepalgunj.

"The closest city in India to Ayodhya is Nepalgunj. "Ayodhya in India is 171 kilometers away from Nepalgunj," he stated. President Sigdel stated that air connectivity is the most convenient mode of tourism because it effectively connects all of Nepal's tourist destinations.
