Meelan Devkota appointed as Member Secretary of NTB

KATHMANDU, Feb 14:Meelan Devkota, an executive committee member of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), has been assigned the role of member secretary. The 362nd meeting of the Board Executive Committee resolved to assign him the role of Member Secretary.

Devkota became the NTB's first woman member secretary. The NTB has been without an executive director since January 30. Tourism Secretary and Chairman of the NTB, Dr. Deepak Kafle, has delegated responsibilities to Devkota for a maximum of three months (three months) till the Chief Executive Officer is appointed.

There is a provision that the tourism minister will be the chairman of the executive committee of the NTB. Now the process of selecting three executive members in the board is going on. After the executive members are selected, the cheif executive officer is chosen.
