Rhino found dead in CNP

CHITWAN, Feb 06:A one-horned rhinoceros was found dead in the central area of Chitwan National Park.

A rhinoceros was found dead in the Birendranagar Central Community Forest.

Deepak Dawadi, Ward President of Bharatpur Metropolitan City's Ward No. 23, said that a dead rhinoceros with injuries was found on the banks of the Rapti River near Hotel Jungle Villa.

According to Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, information officer at Chitwan National Park, the rhino may have died after encountering another rhino.

A male over 30 years old is a rhinoceros. Looking at the injuries on the body, we have assumed that he died due to strangulation," Tiwari said.
