Bharatpur visit Year 2024 event to establish 'Bharatpur Brand': Mayor Renu Dahal

CHITWAN, Jan 30:Renu Dahal, Mayor of the Bharatpur Metropolitan City, has stated that the Bharatpur visit in 2024 is being organized to establish the 'Bharatpur brand'.

Mayor Dahal stated to hoteliers on Monday that the Bharatpur Visit Year 2024 was arranged to establish Bharatpur as a tourist destination on a national and worldwide scale.

Mayor Dahal stated that the tourist infrastructure created for the Bharatpur visit year will provide direct and indirect advantages to the people of Bharatpur. He stated that the 'Open Zoo' built at Bharatpur 6 Dev Nagar for the visiting year will not only be a location to watch tigers in 2024, but indefinitely. Chief Dahal stated that the historical Diyalo Bungalow, which will remain open even after the year, has the potential to be Bharatpur's top tourism destination.

Mayor Dahal stated that these two key tourism spots were built and opened as a result of the metropolitan city's continuous efforts. She stated that the contract for the upgrade of Diyalo Bungalow has been called and that construction has begun.

She stated that Bharatpur can host a variety of tourism activities including as jeep safaris, jungle safaris, boat safaris, paragliding, and Maulakalika cablecar, indicating that the city is on its way to being a popular tourist destination in Nepal. Mayor Dahal stated that various national and international programs are held in Bharatpur during the visiting season, and a significant number of visitors visit the city, therefore hoteliers play a vital role in providing good hospitality to their guests.

Mayor Dahal suggested that a package with special discounts be announced for guests who come here within one year of their stay. She believed that it would be easier to spread the message if it was provided promptly. Chief Dahal stated that the visit year will be successful only with everyone's cooperation, and that, while Bharatpur planned the visit year, all private sector businessmen, Chitwan citizens, and all district municipalities are participating.

In the program, hoteliers said that they are positive about bringing special packages on the occasion of the tourism year. They mentioned that there is currently a 15 percent discount, but they will bring a special offer targeting the visiting year.

In the coming days, the Metropolitan city plans to meet with Nepalese travel agents to explore bringing more tourists to Bharatpur during the Bharatpur visit year.
