Nepal will sign an air agreement with Switzerland within a month

KATHMANDU, Jan 11:Nepal is preparing an air agreement with Switzerland. The Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has stated that it is prepared to sign an aviation contract within a month.

A date has been set up for Swiss government representatives to visit Nepal for the agreement. "The representative of Switzerland is coming to Nepal on February 5 and 6 for the air agreement between the two nations," said a senior ministry official. "All of the formalities for the agreement have been completed. Following the agreement, two-way flights between the two countries will be available.

Nepal has signed bilateral air agreements with 41 countries, but its airlines only operate to a dozen overseas locations on a regular basis. Since 2013, Nepal's airspace has been blacklisted by the European Union, preventing Nepali companies from flying to Europe.
