Shree Airlines and Buddha Air planes from Kathmandu on Wednesday morning were diverted owing to low visibility caused by severe fog.

Buddha Air Dhangadhi chief Buddharam Majhi also stated that the plane was unable to land owing to inclement weather and returned. According to him, around 9:40 a.m., the plane that took off from Kathmandu returned from the skies of Karnali and arrived at Surkhet Airport. Buddha Air stated that the aircraft landed at Surkhet Airport and would fly to Dhangadhi after the weather cleared.

According to the Dhangadhi airport administration, both airlines' flights took off from Kathmandu in the morning due to clear weather, but were unable to land due to a sudden high wind, forcing them to return.
